JIP Toolkit for Professionals
The London Joint Improvement Partnership has been working with a number of London Boroughs on the Assistive Technology (AT/Telecare) Fast Track Programme.
The Programme is working through a framework, at a strategic and operational level that helps Councils to improve or redesign their AT/Telecare services. The main focus has been to increase the number of users of AT across London by October 2011.
Therefore, this tool has been developed to support local authorities and social care directorates to:
The programme has been an intensive programme with cumulative month on month targets. The boroughs participating have been knowledge sharing and have compiled evidence which is available in this toolkit.
The toolkit is organised into 4 main sections to form an AT Balanced Scorecard Framework and tackles the critical aspects that need to be covered from top level ie, vision and strategy, to the more operational aspects like staffing and marketing.
The BSC Framework has been a useful tool to establish where a local authority’s strengths and weaknesses lie.

The toolkit has been compiled by the London JIP and the local authorities who are participating with the programme and thus provides some useful tips, templates and case studies.
